Once registered, you will be able to: book and manage appointments; order your repeat prescriptions; securely view your GP medical record(including information about medication, allergies, vaccinations, previous illnesses and test results), and much more.  If you use Patient Access you can continue to use it. You can also use the NHS App.  For more information and to register, visit www.nhs.uk/nhsapp

More information including “how to” leaflets and videos of patients and why they are using GP online services are available at www.nhs.uk/gponlineservices.  If you are having problems setting up your account, please use the 'Help' feature on the website of your chosen app.

Have Your Say

WELCOME TO NEW PATIENTS

We are mindful that registering at a new practice can be daunting and that there can be confusion as all surgeries have their own way of doing things.  Please read this quick guide for information that is specific to how we operate at Stoke Gifford and Conygre Road Medical Centres.

We are recruiting - please see vacancies tab at foot of page for details.

Important - Coronavirus (Updated 24 March)

NHS advice is to self isolate for 7 days if you have any cold or fever symptoms - regardless of travel history or contact with confirmed infection. You should call 111 for further advice if you feel unwell and require medical attention. For information about shielding and social distancing please Guidance on self isolation document (2/4/20)

SURGERY DOORS ARE CLOSED

In order to reduce risk of covid infection to patients and staff, we have taken the difficult decision to close the surgery doors. The Surgery remains open and continues to provide medical care and advice. However, this will be done largely by telephone or video consultation. Where a GP feels it is urgent that you are seen, we will invite you down.

If you need emergency medical attention, call 999

If you are concerned that you are unwell with the Covid Virus, call 111

If you need to contact the surgery:

- Phone: 0117 979 9430 (lines open from 0800-1230 and 1330-1830)

- Please use NHS App or Patient Access app to order repeat medications

Please leave any mail or prescription requests in the letter box.

Patient Information - over the counter medications

Meningitis vaccinations update.  The Men ACWY vaccine for teenagers was introduced in 2015 and is offered to pupils in Year 9 in schools, with a catch up campaign being rolled out for older pupils (Years 10 – 13) and university ‘freshers’.  If you are in these age groups (14-18 or in first year university students) and are unsure if you have had the vaccine, please contact us and we can check your records and clarify your vaccination status.  We are running additional sessions to ensure that we can give this vaccine promptly where required.

Improved Access.   We are working together with other local practices to offer more appointments in the early mornings, evenings or at weekends. Speak to a member of the practice team to find out more.
